Changing Perspectives

My planning began with thoughts to create a flexible, modular design that could easily adapt to both environmental and cultural preferences. I studied the bee hive and tested concepts with hexagonal shapes. The six-sided structures were interesting at first, then my ‘gut’ said over and over again, “still not IT!”
That sensibility led me to realize that energetically, limitations such as energetics could be mitigated simply by understanding the effects of vortices in architecture. That study led me to dig deeper into Vedic principles and I surmised that angles greater than 45 degrees allowed for greater energy flow. With a perfect circle being the ideal form, it was obvious connecting a bunch of circles in modern construction was simply not efficient. Conversely, all those 90 degree corners we traditionally build, seem to attract all the lint in the room. That insight simply resulted from sweeping the shop floors – “consciously” and noticing where the fuzz wuzz! This led to my favoring octagonal designs.
Below this section you will find examples of modular possibilities together with an artist’s concept of Atlantian design that according to an expert in high-rise construction can easily be adapted to our octagonal modules and still maintain a beautiful and ornate theme.
